New $1M investment from the Ontario Government to help combat invasive species through local initiatives
The provincial government has promised $1 million to be divided between the Invasive Species Center and Nature Conservancy of Canada to help them provide support to local initiatives dealing with invasive species. One of the biggest invasive species issues in Georgian Bay is phragmites. Georgian Bay Forever and GBA work together to deal with this issue.
