Vision 2050 Boosted by Mitacs Partnership
We’re thrilled to announce that Vision 2050 has partnered with Mitacs. This national, federally and provincially funded organization connects academic researchers with industry and non-profit partners to advance innovative, applied research.
Through this collaboration, Vision 2050 will gain access to dedicated graduate-level research support, structured project oversight, and matched funding, significantly increasing our team’s capacity. This partnership will enable us to broaden the scope of our conservation research, specifically through:
- A comparative review of international conservation models to identify leading practices that can inform long-term planning in Georgian Bay.
- A detailed analysis of current conservation activities across the region, helping to map what is already underway and where opportunities for coordination or improvement exist.
We’re excited to welcome Quinn Nolan to the Vision 2050 team! Quinn is in his final year of the Master of Resource and Environmental Management program at Dalhousie University and brings strong research experience and a passion for conservation.
