Family Fishing Week Offers Licence-Free Fishing in Ontario From July 3 - 11
Ontario residents can again enjoy licence-free fishing as part of Family Fishing Week from July 3 to July 11, 2021. Anyone taking part in these activities province-wide are reminded to respect the local regulations under Step 2 of the Roadmap to Reopen.
If you and your family are fishing, it is important to help keep recreational fisheries healthy for future generations by:
- Following conservation licence catch limits
- Obeying size limits and sanctuaries
- Following all other fishing regulations and rules.
After July 11, anyone 18-65 will be required to have a valid fishing licence and carry identification to fish in Ontario. Veterans and active Canadian Armed Forces members residing in Ontario can enjoy year-round recreational fishing without having to purchase a fishing licence.
