GBA Asks for Revised Agreement on Cage Aquaculture in Lake Huron
As part of our ongoing advocacy to ensure that open net cage aquaculture operations in Georgian Bay and Lake Huron are sustainable, and environmental impacts are minimized or eliminated, GBA has written to incoming federal government ministers of the Environment and Fisheries to ask for a review of the agreement between the federal and Ontario government that governs regulation of this industry. The letter also includes recommendations on other related matters.
