GBA Examining Issues Raised by TC Energy Pumped Storage Project on the Bay
Although this massive 1,000 MW output project, with a flow rate equivalent to ~42% of the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, is proposed for a site on the west coast of the Bay, GBA is examining this project because we have several concerns about the environmental impacts from the inflow and outflow of Georgian Bay water on: fish mortality, water turbidity, water temperature increases, and habitat destruction.
